How long does dental bonding normally last if u take real good care of it? thanks?

Answer:
As a dental assistant a bonding should last you about 10 to 15 years.
hmm..but can be 7 years atleast
If you visit your dentist regularly, and take excellent care of all of your teeth, not just the bonded tooth, then you can expect a normal composite resin bond to last up to 15 years, give or take. Of course, each case is different, but most last at least 10 years. If you subject your teeth, and namely the bonded tooth, to excessively hard foods, and undue stress, then the chances that it will chip/break/stain will increase. As with all your teeth, you want to avoid trying to chew on very hard foods, like ice, pistachios, jaw-breakers, etc. And of course stay away from sugary foods, smoking, etc.So if you take excellent care of your teeth, and see your dentist at least twice yearly, you can expect your bonding to last at 'least' 10 years, and perhaps even more.
location is key. resins in the front take less force and are more subject to degradation by acids (coffee, pop, certain foods, etc) that can fail the edges causing leakage. resins in the back must endure excessive forces from clenching /chewing that can again cause the edges to open and fail. i don't know anyone that "warranties" a resin and would be hesitant to "expect" anything to last over ten years. that being said the resins placed today have better properties (bond strenth, thermal expansion, shrinkage coefficient) than ones placed three years ago so it's hard to say.
